For the love of music

Good Day

My eldest boy is back from his camp, which he thoroughly enjoyed. His a sleep now and my husband is also on his flight back....now I am counting hours and no more days!

This is a digi from a day for Daisies. It reminds me of winter in the Northern Hemisphere, but also of Spring right her, right now! I played with only two colours, therefor I didn't colour it. I only added a bit of shadow. Papers are from my stash and finally I played with some of my beautiful black & white ribbon, though I still do not had the right size for the bow.

Challenges I was guided by:
Digi Haven - Two colours
Cards und More #90 - Sketch
A Day for Daisies #79 - Buttons and bows
Crazy 4 Challenges C4C205 - Bows
Creative Corner - The great outdoor

Thank you and have a fantastic day!

These boots are make for walking

Good day

I am on my way to pick up my eldest after I have spend a whole day all alone at home. Something to get use to. I think the worst is when you lie in bed and listen to all the sounds in the house, trying to pick up something familiar like a snore or turn in a bed.

I've finished my project this morning. The image is from Beccy's Place. Designer paper from W&M, border emboss folder from Cuttlebug, which I sanded a bit for a distress look and corner stamps from Stampendous with bronze wet embossing.

Challenges I'm joining:
Digi Sketch Challenge - Sketch for the boys
The Outlawz Tuesday Clour challenge with twist of sponging or distressing CC0924
Paper Crafting Journey - For the Boys
The Cupboard Trilogy #15 - Male
Natalaie & Amy #12 - Embossing
Beccy's Place September Challenge with any image

This was a quicky! The designer paper is from my stash and I wanted to give it a distress look, I used a cuttlebug anchor border emboss folder. I used designer paper from All that boys stack from DCWV and with my previous project I found some forgotten punches like the triangle and star punches and then I used my Martha Stewart border punch. The sentiment is from QKR stamps. The square die is from Sizzix.

Challenges I'm still joining:

A bit of autumn

Good Day

From a lovely spring day in the Southern Hemisphere. Here, in South Africa, we've celebrated Heritage day and had a lovely barbeque/braai with family.
Today, I want to share a card, a bit inspired by autumn though. Most of blogland are super excited about autumn and all the beautiful rich colours it brings and slowly they are preparing for their hibernating months. My designer paper is from Safari Chic Stack from DCWV. I've also used my forgotten wooden leave stamps, that I thin I've only used twice before. I also used a forgotten rubber sentiment. That is the reason for the of center of the sentiment. I used the wet emboss technique with some clear glitter powder. I added some punched leaves with a rhinestone to finish everything.

Challenges I'm joining:
Dynamic Duos #71 - Crumb cake & basic black
The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge SC091813
Our Creative Corner - Forgotten things
Great Impressions September Fall Challenge

Thank you and have a great day!

Happy

Good day

I had very good intentions to be a bit more creative, but then my mom came to visit me and we have a bit of mom and daughter time. I sure do enjoy it, since we do not have a lot of time together.

I did start this card a few day ago and just had to finish it this morning. This is Gold Fish Kid from Kenny K. My DP is from First Edition's New Leaf stack and the card stock from Tim Holtz Kraft-Core nostalgic collection and I've edged it off with some sandpaper. Sizzix square die cut and the Fleur de Lis Squares from Spellbinder were used.

Challenges I'm joining:
I (heart) Sketches #34 - Sketch
The Outlawz Tuesday Colour Challenge with twist of adding an animal

Shades of white

Good day

The sketch from the The Outlawz looked so inspiring and I played with my favourite colour combo. White on white. In a sense it always looks so neat and clean, even when you do add a lot of layers. This time I played with some perfumed paper with different designs. On my corners I've used my Fiskar shapeboss. The letters  were cut with a Sizzix die cut. The centre is a Cuttlebug embossed motif. I've covered the Sizzix die cut with some mother of pearl confetti and used some voile ribbon to make the flowers. The other die cuts are from Spellbinder.

Challenges I'm joining:
The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch challenge SC091013 - Sketch
Divas by design - Weddings/anniversaries

Love Story

Good day
I love different styles and shabby chic is one of my favourite styles and when there is a challenge on weddings and anniversaries I sure can join the two. This is Jack & Ginger from Mo Manning stamp series. One of my favourite stamps, though I have not used it a lot. In our days to see two people still in love and holding hands after few years together, are a very rare commodity and when they are bit older and still looks in love it sure crumbles my hard. I'm a bit of a romantic. For an anniversary card i thought it appropriate. My DP is from Graphic 45's secret garden. I played a bit with beads for something different. I added my own sentiment and some lace. The image was coloured with H2O pencils and some chalk for background distressing.

Challenges I'm joining:
Cards und more #89 - Anything goes
Sweet Sketch Wednesday #223 - Sketch
Divas by design - Weddings/anniversaries
Sassy Studio Design #194 - Shabby Chic

Thank you and have a great day.....may you also grow old holding hands with your love of your life.

Net vir jou

Good Day

Monday Morning I woke up with a bright idea on the sketch. Though when I have put it to paper it didn't want to pop. Then I opened my e-mail and there was this challenge over at the Outlawz with burlap, kraft & beads. The DT made wonderful creations and it triggered my creativity. I played with Tim Holtz Kraft-Core and the Foiled Elegance Stack from DCWV papers and some tissues paper for the flower. I added some glitter on the leave and used a pin to put some beads on. The sentiment was cut with Lifestyle cutting dies.

Challenges I was inspired by:

It is the beginning of our wedding season. I also started to prepare for our annual Christmas market in November. Wedding cards was one of my best sellers last year.
This time I used a SK digi and different perfumed paper in shades of white, with a touch of gold and red. The die cuts are from Spellbinder. The sentiment is from Margy at Digistamp4Joy. I've used a Fiskar emboss template for my dry embossing and added some golden peel-offs.
